Today was one of those mornings that reminds me why I love doing what I do.
Beyond the strategy and analytics, MET consulting is about sharing a clients vision, then making it possible.
This morning, I had the privilege of being present for one of those amazing moments.
During a routine update meeting with one of my clients working with the amazing Lumina platform, the Managing Director walked in. Then something I love seeing happened.
The penny dropped as the MD watched us run through updates from some recent functionality sprints.
He glimpsed the breadth of visibility and flexibility his business now had, enabling replenishment accuracy and simplicity.
Lumina created an intuitive view of dynamic sales and stock forecast & prioritised replenishment actions to show how delivery performance will now skyrocket, without over-stocking, ranked by classification and decision priority.
It felt like electricity was in the room. Genuine excitement.
Imagination and possibility fully engaged.
It wasn’t just about the numbers on a screen or about saving time (from having to open up 3 different spreadsheets to understand what the hell was going on on each SKU).
The business finally had clarity.
A clarity that signaled the a new era for the company.
An era of improved fill rate and the opportunity to get a seat around that coveted preferred supplier list table.
Moments like this are why we work the hours we do.
